An international freight train has transformed an inland county. Jize County, located at the eastern foot of the Taihang Mountains, is becoming a "new inland port" with direct access to the ASEAN market. As of now, the "Jize, Handan – Hanoi, Vietnam" ASEAN freight train service has operated 39 trips, with a cargo value of US$27.05 million. The range of goods is continuously expanding — from initially a few categories such as castings, forgings and plates, rapidly growing to more than 30 categories including lubricating grease, bearings, rubber flooring, artificial turf and plastic tableware.
